My name is Emily Keel, I believe that the key to a happy and wholesome life is balance.
I am a fully qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and I love to help others discover how easy and rewarding it can be to live a healthy lifestyle.
The passion I have stems from my love of food and exercise. I grew up eating amazing food; my family home was always filled with delicious food, thanks to my amazing Mum. My parents also lead very active lives, so I have always understood the importance of exercise. From a very early age my love for yummy things and my need to move my body became instilled in me.
As I became more aware of my body, and started reading trashy magazines, I began to compare myself to airbrushed supermodels. The ‘balance’ I had whilst growing up was slightly tipped. I over exercised and had a fairly unhealthy relationship with food – starving myself and then bingeing. After years of working on self-confidence, and with help from others, I regained the balance that I once had. I then decided that I wanted to help others enhance their lives and have the best possible health.
I worked with food for years, in kitchens and in hotels. However, I still didn’t feel like I was doing the right thing. I would finish work and rush to the gym as quickly as I could. For a while I wondered why I didn’t turn my love for the gym into something more than just a hobby. So I did! I qualified as a Personal Trainer with the European Institute of Fitness.
I have worked in the fitness industry since 2013 and gained plenty of knowledge and experience working in gyms and starting up my own Personal Training Business. My job is my hobby and I enjoy each day.
I decided to start this blog and page as I want a way of sharing my knowledge to help others live a happy and healthy life.
